Ep 36: How She Does Less Marketing While Making More Impact with Amelia Roberts

Welcome to episode 36 of the Virtual Assistants Brunch Club podcast. I am your host, Nirlande Singleton. It has been a while you guys! I missed you all so much but I had to take a short break to regroup and recoup. So much has been going on behind the scences here at the Virtual Assistants Brunch Club.

What we've been up to

It's been a wonderful year so far. We started the year planning our annual Vision Slayers VA conference in January with my VAB Team and then hosted the event in March of 2022. The event was VABulous and had some AH-maxing guest speakers and experts.

Check out the fully recorded 2022 Vision Slayers VA conference on our site here

In April, we spent the month revamping the entire toolbox which is now known as the Slay Your Vision Toolbox and the name says it all. I really don't have to explain myself.

In May, we revamped the website to give you a better experience and help you find what you are looking for a lot faster and easier

Here we are in June. We just hosted our 2nd Quarter VA Virtual Brunch on Zoom for our VAB members. I will be sharing the recap of that event on our blog this month so stay tuned for that. Check out the blog here

I am back with new episodes of the Virtual Assistants Brunch Club podcast. I am happy to be back and share these interviews with you all. We have some exciting thing happening in the coming months so stay tuned for that.

So I have a confession to make...

While having this interview, real life happened. I kept calling my guest by wrong name and you'll hear it at the end of the episode. The funny part about it is she didn't correct me. We laugh about it, but at the time I was a bit embarassed. She reminded me that sometimes it doesn't have to be perfect. We have so much going on in our lives as women, wives, moms and bossbabes that our minds are filled with all the endless stuff we have to do and life happens! Sometimes you call people by the wrong name. It happens.

The point is: Don't get so suck on the small stuff that it stops you from moving forward in your business. It doesn't have to be perfect as long as it is done. We finished the podcast. It was flawless until got to the end and my oops! happened. But it's okay. The show must go on!

I want to welcome Amelia Roberts to the show.

In Episode 36, you will learn:

1) What is marketing fatigue 2) How to maximize word of mouth esp when you are an introvert 3) How to create referrals on repeat 4) How to go about outsourcing sales and marketing the right way to free up mental white space

More About Amelia

She is a registered nurse by trade who fell in love with marketing and sales (it turns out the process for each matched her expertise with scientific methods perfectly). Amelia has almost 20 years experience in the healthcare industry and six years in business, which has proven that most challenges with advancing in a career or business results from:

A) a story that is not being told

B) a collaboration that is not happening

C) both A and B

Now, alongside other hats, individuals and teams hire Amelia to regain control of their day, quarter or year with the RIGHT collaborations. When she is not teaching leaders how to do less marketing while making more impact by developing relationships at scale, Amelia enjoys spending time on #teamnap as well as planning both real and imagined food tours.
